Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What services does ROAM Design Studio offer?
We provide full-service architectural design for custom residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Our services include concept design, schematic design, 3D visualizations, design development, construction documentation, landscape integration, interior design direction, and project management. We also assist HOAs and development teams with architectural review consulting and tenant finish documentation.
2. What is the ROAM design process like?
We believe design should be as inspiring and exploratory as the places we live. The process typically flows through:
Discovery & Visioning – We dive deep into your story, site, and goals.
Concept Design – We explore initial ideas and architectural language.
Design Development – Multiple design iterations allow us to refine together.
3D Visualization – We produce realistic renderings so you can feel the space before it’s built.
Documentation & Coordination – Drawings are finalized, consultants are coordinated, and everything is aligned for permit or construction.
We stay collaborative throughout and use tools like screen shares, visual pinboards, and digital walkthroughs to bring the process to life.
3. Do you work outside of Denver?
Definitely. While Denver is our home base, ROAM’s design reach spans all across Colorado, as well as Montana, Wyoming, and parts of Alaska. We’ve even work internationally. Wherever you roam, we’ll meet you there—digitally or in person.
4. How long does a typical project take?
Timelines vary based on the size, complexity, and location of your project. Residential projects usually range from 3–6 months for design, while commercial or large-scale projects may take longer. Permitting timelines also vary by jurisdiction, which we help navigate from the beginning.
5. What kind of 3D renderings do you provide?
We use high-quality digital tools to create photo-realistic 3D renderings and animated walkthroughs that help you visualize your project inside and out. From material palettes to lighting conditions, we capture the mood and spatial experience—so there are no surprises once construction begins.
6. How many design revisions are included?
Design is iterative by nature, and we build in multiple checkpoints. We typically include 3–4 major design iteration phases, but we remain flexible to make sure you’re fully aligned and confident before moving into documentation. We also offer add-on services for further refinement or visualization.
7. What should I bring to the first meeting?
Bring your ideas—big or small. It’s helpful to have:
A wish list or vision board
Notes about your lifestyle or business needs
Photos of your site or inspiration images
A rough sense of your timeline and budget
If you're still figuring things out, that’s totally okay. We’ll guide you through.
